Who this pack is for
This pack is for children aged 4–9 and their grown-ups who want a gentle way to talk about friendship worries. Your child might be making friends at school, finding taking turns tricky or feeling left out of a game. Falling out with friends can feel big, even when the grown-up view is different. You can use the pages after a wobbly moment or on an ordinary day when there is time to chat. There is no need for a perfect answer; your child’s experience matters.
How to use it together
- Start with one page. Let your child choose a topic that interests them. You can explore the rest another day, without turning the pack into a task to finish.
- Listen before offering ideas. Ask what happened or what the picture brings to mind. Give your child time to point, talk or draw, and acknowledge how it felt.
- Try words together. Talk about what your child could say when joining in, asking for a turn or making up after a fall-out. Keep the conversation playful and let them suggest their own words.
- Make asking for help familiar. Think together about a grown-up your child can approach when they need support. Remind them they can come back to you if a friendship worry keeps bothering them.
