A little closer
A few things about Dr. Tillywell
Legendary pockets
She carries pencils, spare buttons and a little flashlight. She once found a pebble and a tiny knitted scarf in a pocket she was certain was empty.
The problem curl
Her pastel curls are usually tidy, but one springs loose when she is thinking hard. Nurse Nuzzle can spot it from across the clinic.
Three colored pencils
Mint is for things to do, lavender for things to ask, and peach for things she must remember before going home.
Another question
Dr. Tillywell explains what she is doing and never minds being asked another question—even when she has already put her coat on.
A moment to speak
She notices when someone hesitates. Rather than guessing what they mean, she gives them a moment to say it.
A familiar rhythm
She and Nurse Nuzzle can prepare the clinic together with remarkably few words, although they never agree where the spare pencils belong. Both are good at their work.
Odd but Useful
Her drawer holds string, tape, a peculiar little hook and other Wobble Shop finds. They are for everyday jobs, not medical ones.
Early mornings
Collyvale is quiet at dawn, and Dr. Tillywell likes having everything ready before the first knock at the door.
A surprising laugh
Her laugh is small, bright and usually prompted by something Nurse Nuzzle has said.
