Miaöw
Not a cat. Not a monster.
Not a cat. Not a monster. Just a Miaöw.
A Miaöw has wild dark fluff, enormous eyes, extravagant whiskers and tiny feet. It is cat-adjacent at a glance, but nobody needs to decide precisely what it is.

A little closer
A few things about Miaöws
Whiskers with ideas
Some curl, some zigzag, and some point straight up. They tend to twitch just before a Miaöw investigates something it probably should not.
One look says plenty
A Miaöw may appear deeply suspicious of a button, then delighted by the same button a moment later.
Excellent at hiding
One can vanish behind a flowerpot that seems far too small. Looking behind the pot a second time rarely helps.
Woodland dust
A Miaöw that has been exploring may return with a faint shimmer in its fluff—and no intention of explaining where it has been.
Purring without rules
They purr when pleased, puzzled or busy thinking. Sometimes they stop mid-purr to stare at a wall.
Nearly everything is climbable
Branches, chairs and shop shelves are worth a closer look. Getting down is occasionally a separate adventure.
Little feet, big racket
Their tiny feet can make an enormous noise, especially when everyone else is being quiet.
Curious collections
Twigs, pebbles, scraps of ribbon and lost buttons turn up in secret Miaöw hiding places. Nobody knows how the collections are organized.
Near the action
A Miaöw may watch from a doorway for ages, then wander over just as everyone has stopped looking for it.
No two alike
Their markings, whiskers and odd little habits differ. You can get to know one, but never be entirely sure what it will do next.
